Day 8 If you have always wanted to paddle a large Maori canoe round Lake Rotorua then today is the day. Then, after picnic lunch on the lake foreshore, it’s on to the thunderous Huka Falls and beautiful Lake Taupo. We also have a look at a geyer which erupts at the same time every day. We finish up in Turangi where we stay at the remarkable Extreme Backpackers, complete with a climbing hall.
